i think the trouble with black metal videos is they're mostly done on a low budget, so they're rarely ever as good as the song.
mind you, saying that, Dimmu Borgir's video for Progenies of the Great Apocalypse is fucking ridiculous too.

One thing you've got to admit, some of Immortal's promo photos are good for a laugh.

i checked out Summoning's Stronghold album. it's pretty good.
i liked Like Some Snow-White Marble Eyes the best.
although to be honest, the album didn't really seem to have any black metal riffs.

actually i listened to it last night and quite enjoyed it.
yes i have seen the video of Lilith's Embrace, it was actually when i saw it on a youtube video of "the 10 most ridiculous black metal videos" that i first heard of Ancient.

i know what you mean, i was actually inspired by Xasthur with some lyrics i finished writing the other day. not inspired by Xasthur's lyrics, but it was like an idea that came into my head while listening to it.
often i find i have a fairly good idea, but it takes me a while to put it into words.

Funny, i listened to Telepathic... this morning and lasted through the whole album.
Murdered Echoes of the Mind is an interesting song.
Xasthur probably has one of the bleakest ambient atmospheres i've ever heard in black metal.

I find it amusing when i get stuff like "FUK OFF U EMO KUNT WATCH WEN I CU", which i did a while ago.

it's not completely awful, there's a couple of decent songs on it. but the guitar sounds a bit too mellow.
it's sounds to me like they've done that to make it more accessible.

i liked the album i got of Xasthur, but for some reason i haven't managed to listen to it all in one go.
i like Slaughtered Useless Beings in a Nihilistic Dream the best.
